FAQ

Is 6-0-2-3 the cooling puzzle solution?
It is not a verified solution. The September Steam poster who proposed it explicitly reported that the cooling-system light did not turn on.
Can I ignore the second valve because it is clogged?
An October 12 player who reported completing the test says the second valve still needs a particular position. The report does not give a verified final combination.
Where is the missing fourth cooling wheel?
October community replies place it on a high cabinet in the apartment beside the main capsule, requiring an Echophone scan before pickup.

What is the cooling puzzle combination?

We cannot confirm a final combination from the sources available. In particular, 6–0–2–3 is not a verified answer. It comes from a September Steam question whose author says that setting did not complete the puzzle. Publishing it as a working code would remove the most important sentence from its source.

What we can help with is the missing fourth wheel, the origin of that disputed sequence, and a more recent warning about valve 2. For an overview of the current Chapter One build, use the playtest guide.

Where did 6–0–2–3 come from?

The September 9 thread “Struggling on the cooling puzzle” quotes a diary clue about increasing pressure in the fourth conduit and reducing it in the second. The poster then reasons through 5–2–2–2 → 5–1–2–3 → 6–0–2–3, taking a clogged second conduit into account.

Those are the poster’s calculations, not a tested sequence supplied by a developer. They explicitly report that the cooling-system light upstairs remains off. The developer-marked answer redirects puzzle discussions to the playtest forum and Discord; it does not endorse the numbers.

This was also the September closed test. The October open test follows revisions to interactions, puzzles and feedback. A failed earlier attempt cannot establish the current solution.

What can I check without guessing a code?

  1. Resolve the missing wheel first. October replies put it high in the apartment beside the capsule, with an Echophone scan required for interaction.
  2. Read the relevant notes in your current build. The earlier player’s quoted documents explain their reasoning, but do not substitute for the text and mechanism you actually have.
  3. Keep valve 2 in your checks. An October 12 completed-test feedback post says that, despite being clogged, this valve still needs a particular position.
  4. Record the setup you tried. When seeking help, describe all four positions and which component or clue is missing. A screenshot or build detail gives other players something specific to compare.

Does a failed setup mean the puzzle is bugged?

The cited evidence does not establish a cooling-puzzle bug. The September poster asked that question, but asking is not confirmation. The October report about valve 2 offers one concrete reason not to assume a clogged conduit means an irrelevant control.

For broader investigation habits, see the puzzle guide. If another system is blocking you, the piano slider article has a dated community-reported pattern. The Outcry history page explains why original-game walkthroughs need a version check before use.

Exact cooling settings will be added when a current-build playthrough or clear solution recording verifies them. Until then, the useful answer is to separate a documented obstacle from an unsuccessful copied combination.
